Hola amigos! This year in Senora Lopez Spanish class the students will be encouraged to speak as much Spansih as possible. When they enter in class they will say ADIOS to English and we will speak in Spanish.

NEW SPANISH NEWSPAPER: " Las noticias de St. Francis"

We have a new newspaper in Spanish in the school named Las noticias de St. Francis (St. Francis' news). We will have a monthly edition and the students will be my reporters. We will write things that we are doing in the Spanish class, things that happened in different Spanish speaking countries, we will write about traditions and cultures in different Spanish speaking countries, etc.

TAREA (homework)

NOVIEMBRE

TEST: Thursday, December 3rd. Test Unit 2: all the vocabulary about the family (vocabulary list), the adjetives from last unit to describe members of your family and conjugate the verbs SER (To be, for things that cannot change like I am a girl- yo soy una chica) and ESTAR (To be, for actions that can change like I am in class- yo estoy en clase).

11/3 Write 10 sentences describing your family.

11/4 Write 5 sentences using the verb SER and 5 sentenes using the verb ESTAR.

11/5 Optional homework: worksheet for reviewing femenine and masculine in Spanish. If you think it will help you to review femenine and masculine, you have until Tuesday to finish it.

11/11 Today you will get the family vocabulary list. In that list there is the vocabulary that we have been talking during the last two weeks. You will have until Tuesday to study the words that you don't know and to review the ones that you know. We will play a game on Tuesday about that vocabulary.

11/18 Finish your worksheet about transalting sentences into English.
