Parents Really Involved

and

Dedicated to Education

This program is designed to encourage parental involvement. When school, families, and communities work together to support learning, children tend to do better in school, become lifelong learners, stay in school longer, and enjoy learning through the years.

Become involved and earn PRIDE POINTS for each activity you attend this school year. Prizes will be awarded to the parent/parents with the most PRIDE POINTS at the end of the school year.

"BE A PRIDE FAMILY!"

"BE A WINNING TEAM!"

Parents Really Involved and Dedicated to Education

Parents will be awarded points for participating in school related activities / functions.  Points will be awarded as follows:

·        Attending a parent / teacher conference – 2 points for each conference – maximum of 8 points possible

·        Eating lunch with your student – 1 point for each visit – maximum of 3 points

·        Volunteering in your child’s classroom – 1 point for each volunteer session

·        Volunteering at school sponsored events (Fall Festival) – 1 point

·        Attending school sponsored events (including but not limited to PTO meetings, Family Reading and Math nights, Mother / Daughter Tea, Dunkin’ with Dads, and family involvement workshops) – 1 point for each event

Parents are welcomed and encouraged to participate in as many parent / teacher conferences and to eat lunch with their child as often as they desire – points, however, will be limited as stated above.

A coordinator will be selected to maintain point records.  Information for assigning points will be obtained from sign-in sheets for school sponsored events as well as teacher logs for parent participation.

At the end of the year, all parents who have accumulated 10 points will receive a certificate.  The parent with the highest number of points will be recognized as the “Overall PRIDE Parent” and will receive a prize.  Prizes will also be awarded to the parent at each grade level who has accumulated the highest number of points.  (The overall winner will be excluded from the grade level prizes in an effort to recognize more parents.)

The term parent is used in reference to the adult who is primarily responsible for the care of the child.
