Note that there are 2 budgets(Elementary & HS District)and Each of these Districts are presenting a proposition:
District 13- Proposition 1- Budget Vote /// Proposition 2- to expand the busing for all students in K-6 within our District who live outside a 1/2 mile of their school. Currently all students in grades K-3 receive busing if they live outside 1/2 mile and all students 4-6 receive busing if they live outside 1 mile).
Central HS District- Proposition 1- Budget Vote /// Proposition 2- authorization to use funds from the Capital Reserve Fund for approved capital projects. (this Capital Reserve Fund was created by voters in May 2006 to allow for use of future projects). Earth Day is April 22nd. As part of this year's Earth Day celebration, Wheeler Ave PTA is holding a book collection. During the week of April 20-24th, we are asking for donations of new and like new, elementary level children's books that will be used for the June "Summer Reading" PTA Book Treats distribution.

HOFSTRA PRIDE --- HOFSTRA WOMEN’S BASKETBALL PRESENTS
FAMILY FUN DAY AT HOFSTRA
“Family Fun Day” offers fresh and inviting activities that will entertain friends and families throughout the day. Kids will be able to participate in games, get their faces painted and taste foods from different cultural groups.
There will be different raffles and prizes throughout the day and even on court promotions. Long Island ’s different culture groups will be on display for entertainment and educational information.
The presentation of the cultures will be made available in an informative and entertaining way, while promoting the participation from each and every family. Each diverse group will be able to educate and interact with families while also giving out samples of their cultural foods.
Tickets are $5.00 per person and are good toward the “Family Fun Day at Hofstra” games, activities, raffles, cultural materials, Hofstra posters and prizes, and much more!
Face painting, pictures with mascots; bounce house, great food and much more!
Reserved seating sections will be given to those family members who order their tickets early.
“Family Fun Day at Hofstra” will be a unique and special day for friends and family to spend a day together during the February school break. Come join in the festivities, and cheer on Hofstra basketball!!
