Easter Seals Volunteer Opportunities

• Support a holiday or seasonal celebration
• Support a community outing i.e. join a group at a park, museum, show or sporting even with adult participants.
• Share a special skill or talent on a one time or ongoing basis – we can explore the possiblities
• Become a classroom assistant for an event or on an ongoing basis.
• Light office work, filing, copying, research, assembling binders and/or mailings etc. (good for groups and/or individuals and can sometimes be done at your home or business)
• Computer assistant – proficiency required
• Clean up grounds, was windows, clean classrooms, paint, wash vans, wash wheelchairs, etc (good for groups)
• Special Olympics Motor Activity Training Coach – 7/01 – 10/1/08
• Interpreters/translators – to help translate documents and sometimes serve as interpreter for family meetings…Spanish, different languages from India
• Handyman – hang shelves, fix things in various sites (when needed)
• Serve as an easter Seals Ambassador at a variety of community venues.  There are opportunities throughout the year to promote and represent Easter Seals at various venues.  Training and materials will be provided.
• Camp Fairlee Manor (in Chestertow, MD) opportunities
  • Respite Counselor, Travel Trip Counselor, Group work projects

They can arrange for individual and group assignments.  Those interested in an ongoing assignment complete the application and screening process.
