A Message from the Principal

Welcome, and thank you for visiting our website. Since 1880, St. Mary's Institute has provided countless children with outstanding academic experiences with one thing in common. Our past and present students share the magnificent benefits of an education that is always grounded in faith and focused on the future. Our school is a special place to worship, work, and learn.

St. Mary’s Institute serves students from early childhood through eighth grade from school districts throughout Fulton and Montgomery counties. We welcome children of all faiths to join our school community. We proudly provide an education that prepares our students for the modern world and its many splendid opportunities and exciting challenges. Because of our traditionally high academic standards and strong moral guidelines, our graduates are prepared for the rigors of high school, and beyond.

We employ a challenging curriculum adapted for students of all abilities. Our academic programs continuously meet or exceed the benchmarks set by both the New York State Department of Education and the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany.
