Building Parent Representatives work with adm inistrators and staff in a specific building to provide programming and events for that building. To be a building representative, the volunteer must have a student in attendance at that school (ECEC, Primary, Intermediate, Jr. High and Sr. High). There are typically 2-4 parent reps per building.
In addition, there are lots of opportunities in way of chairs and committees. Below please find a listing of some existing positions:
Membership Chair(s)
Book Fair Chair(s)
Spiritwear Chair(s)
Staff Appreciation Chair(s)
Craft Fair Chair(s)
Safe Homes/Safe Paths Chair(s)
Environment Committee Chair(s)
Reflections Art Program Chair(s)
Health & Wellness Chair(s)
Grants Committee member
Budget Committee member
Nominating Committee member
Many of the above chairs have a committee working with them.
In addition, we are always looking for new ideas/positions which compliment our campus goal of working to improve the educational experience of our students/families.
If any these positions/committees are of interest to you, we’d like to hear from you. And, remember, there is no amount of time that is too small. We appreciate any amount of volunteering that you can offer. We can’t do it without you!
Our next PTSA membership meeting is Tuesday, November 17th, 2009 at 7 pm in the ECEC Boardroom. We’d love to have you attend!
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me!
