Hello! My name is Mrs. Wayne and this is my sixth year as a seventh grade math teacher at Pulaski Middle School. I truly love teaching, and am very happy to be spending my days with middle school students. I really enjoy how unique each student is at this stage of their life, and appreciate all of their creativity, personality, and sometimes goofiness.
I live in Radford with my husband, two daughters (8 and 3) and three sons (9, 7, and 4). I love spending time with my family. We enjoy going to the lake, hiking, going to football games, biking, and cooking together. When I do get a few minutes alone, I enjoy cooking, kayaking, or reading a good book.
My goal this year is to help each student reach his or her fullest potential. I hope to allow students to see the joy of math through hands-on learning, providing them opportunities to ask questions and explore different avenues of learning, and then find great success! I like to keep students on their toes by doing the unexpected, and having a variety of lessons to keep them engaged. I enjoy the challenge of the student who says, "I hate math", or "I'm not good at math". I am very fortunate to work with a wonderful team of teachers, and know we will have a wonderful year!!
