This is going to be a fun and exciting year for your child.  It will be filled with tremendous personal and academic growth!

During the course of the year, I will communicate with in several different ways: 

• First and most importantly is your child’s “Go Home Folder.”  This folder will be taken home everyday.  I will send home papers, notes or other important information via the “Go Home Folder.”  So please check it each evening. Likewise, your child will check the folder each morning so please put notes for me or the school office, lunch money, etc. in it.  

• Your child’s planner will begin going home when I assign homework.  Your child will copy the homework assignment off the board into their planner under the appropriate date. 

• I will update this web page periodically with important news.  Please visit this page from time to time to see what is new in 1W!

• Call the Times Union source line each weekend.  The phone number for the source line is 518-446-4000 and our classroom’s code is 7070.  I will update the source line weekly with classroom news.

• Finally, if you have any questions or concerns, feel free to drop me a note or give me a call.  I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Just a reminder, we have snack around 10:00 a.m. and your child really looks forward to it.  Pack a drink to go with your child’s snack. When it comes to my attention that we have any children with food allergies, I will notify you of those needs or restrictions.  The children’s safety and well being is of the utmost importance.

Birthday Celebrations!  If you would like to send in a treat for your child’s birthday, please feel free to do so.  

 Please label your child’s clothing, backpack, lunch box, etc with his or her name.
