Dear Stokes Families,
We are starting our super PARP (Parent as Reading Partners) program headed by Jody Kilbride and Tracey Sommerville. They have lots of activites planned for our students including our ever popular book bingo and book swap.
The PTA also has great cultural arts shows (see the link) planned for the new year. Also be sure to look for our newsletter in the upcoming months chocked full of information edited by Andrea Caputo and Lori Waiting.
We have also been working on our biggest and best event for The PTA-the Blitz! We are asking for a $5 family donation to be used for the supermarket blitz (cash or checks payable to Stokes PTA). Class families are also reminded to make donations to your class baskets based on your theme (call your class parent for questions).
Additionally, we again would like to thank all our volunteers who make it possible to run our events for the Stokes' children. Please keep in mind that your support and commitment to the PTA is very important to us and the school. We welcome moms, dads, grandparents and friends. So please pass it on-its never to late to join!
We also ask that you keep Mrs. Newman in your thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery and return to Stokes.
