We live in an area that is prone to earthquakes and other unforeseen events. In the event that we do experience an emergency or natural disaster it is highly recommended that your child have a Personal Survival Kit available to them. The following items are recommended: 2 - 8 oz. boxed or canned juices with pop-top or straw
2 - 4 1/4 oz. cans small fruit with pop-top
2 - 3 oz. cans tuna or other luncheon meat with pop-top
2 peanut butter or cheese and cracker type snacks
2 sets plastic utensils with napkins
2 individually wrapped moist towelettes
* Above items should be in original packages *
1 small flashlight with batteries wrapped seperately (or a disposable light)
1 favorite book, picture, or small memento
The above items should be placed in a large zip-loc storage bag. Use a permanent ink marker to label the bag with your child's name and teacher's name. All food must have a one-year shelf life. Additional disaster preparedness supplies, including bottled water, and blankets, are available at the site.
All kits/items will be returned at the end of the school year.
