The book is about teenager girls that like to gossip about other girls and boys. Massie, Dylan, Claire, Alicia and Kristen thought about having a Halloween Party. Which led’s to trouble. Massie hates Claire and Alicia starts to hang out with a new girl. And Dylan and Kristen get mad at each other for a boy. Plus they have a contest for their uniform. I wonder who is going to win this fight

I think that this book is good for 12 year olds and over. But the book is so good. If you liked the book there are more books after

In this book you will meet four best friends Massie who is the leader of the four, Dylan, Alisha, and Kristen. Claire Lyons, who moved from Florida is trying to show Massie that she can be part of the “Pretty Committee” as they call it , but Massie does not approve . Claire gets pushed around by the “pretty committee” and she does not like it one bit. She tries to get in she even saves her own money to go shopping and get the latest clothes to show that she has the looks , well the clothes. Massie secretly likes Claire but she doesn’t want her friends to know.

When I read this book it made me laugh really hard at some points but at others it made me want to be part of the book and stick up for Claire. This book is good if you like comedy. Its part of a series and in every book it gets funnier and funnier and Massie gets meaner and meaner.

I think I would recommend this book for middle school and maybe fifth graders. It’s a really good book also if you like reading about the popular girls in school. Read and find out if you’re the kind of person that likes comedy!!!!!!

Reuben is a 14 year old boy living during a time when people smuggled liquor (more than just wine and beer) for money and more. He and his friend, Jimmy, find a dead body that washed up along the shore along with a crate of smuggled liquor. Reuben finds half of a 50 dollar bill in a tobacco case in the pocket of the body. What Reuben doesn’t know is that the half of that 50 dollar bill could begin the start of a dangerous life for him. Secrets begin to unfold about different people; people who Reuben finds were people whom he didn’t know that much about before. What will he do? Will he get caught by the police or worse, his parents?

This is an awesome book for people who like suspense and those, can’t-put-it-down-it’s-just-getting-good-leave-me-alone-I’m-reading kind of books. I for one am one of those people. I learned from sources, that there isn’t a second book. There are some parts in the book where it is an interview, but those parts don’t last long.

Christine by Stephen King

Arnie Cunnington and Dennis Guilder are your average 17-year old kids. That is, until, Arnie gets his first car, Christine. Christine is a hunk of junk at first, so corroded and broken down that not even Arnie thinks he can fix her up. But as time goes on the car is able to be driven, and soon after it actually looks good. After this it gets painted, but Arnie isn’t making these repairs this fast and this well. Well, who is? There is only one answer to that question, Christine herself!

I thought this book was scary but very interesting. It did make me laugh at times, but the majority of the book is suspenseful and scary. I enjoyed this book very much because I like horror stories.

I recommend this book for an older audience. This book would be best for someone who likes a lot of detail when important things happen. This book is very scary and I would not recommend it for someone who easily has nightmares.

Cirque du Freak by Darren Shan

Reviewed by: Heeder J

Darren Shan is your average child, with normal problems. That is, until his friend, Steve Leonard, brings him to a circus of freaks, called the Cirque Du Freak. When Darren steals a very precious, living, object from the circus, he has to strike a deal with a vampire by the name of Larten Crepsley, the owner of the object, to save Steve’s life. And will ultimately result in Darren becoming a vampire and his best friend becoming his worst enemy, believing he had been had. Will Darren survive? Or,will his best friend erase him from the picture completely.

Cirque Du Freak is meant to be a horror story but it honestly isn’t. Having strange twists and remarks make the book funny. The author was trying to say, sometimes you need to put your friend or family’s needs before your own, even if it means you get the short end of the stick. If you want to put the book down and not touch it again then rethink that idea .After the exposition the story will have you hooked on the entire series.

One important thing to know is the series goes on for twelve books. I recommend this book to any vampire story fans, for they would never set the books down unless they had to. All of the books are in stores so you can buy them all at once if you want to.

Crispin was a great book with great characters. It started out when Asta’s son’s mother died. Asta’s son had no one but Father Quenelle, who gave him a cross of lead. Then John Ayecliffe lied and said Asta’s son stole money from him. They declared him a wolf’s head, which means anyone that sees him should kill him. Asta’s son hid, while everyone was looking for him. Then he traveled to a different town where he met someone. His name was Bear and Asta’s son was terribly afraid of him. Bear made him swear he would obey him and always be his slave. Well, Bear and Asta’s son became partners and went around singing and playing music. One night they were sitting by the fire Asta’s son showed Bear the cross of lead Father Quenelle gave to him, Bear read something that was on it, but I cannot tell you because it would give the story away!

I loved this book so much! It was suspenseful, and made you want to know what was going to happen next. The characters are so life like. Also the characters in the book each have a different personality.

I recommend this book because I didn’t want to put it down! It was so good I will read it again! There is a second Crispin if you like the first one; it’s called Crispin at the Edge of the World. I would also recommend that one too.

Crispin is a boy who is living in the middle ages. He lived with his mother in the small town of Stromford, England. His mother had died and he was left alone he was given a cross of lead from the monk of his village. After the funeral of his mother he ran in to the woods and tripped on a branch and was knocked out when he woke in the middle of the night he witnessed a meting of two men who were discussing something important that he could not figure out exactly when they saw him they ran after him swords in hand. He managed to escape but when he went back to the village he realized he had been declared a wolfs head (any one who saw him could kill him).

I would read this book again and again. I personally love this book. They made a second one that I’m still trying to get a copy of but first chance I get I’ll take. My favorite part of this book is when he rescues bear from the dungeon and they both end up fighting agents all the guards. If you are looking for a good mystery/action book this is it. I would recommend this book to any one who was looking for a good book.

Do you like the Renaissance? If you do then Crispin The Cross of Lead, will be a great book for you. It was written by Avi, an is a historical fiction book that was copyrighted in 2002. It starts out with a 13 year old boy whose mother dies. He then runs from the town, but he sees a priest for his problems, and he tells Crispin to meet him at Widow Daventries house. Then he runs to hide in the woods only to be found by a boy who is sent by father Quinell (a priest Crispin fled from).Crispin is then double-crossed by the boy and finds out Father Quinell is dead. He will flee the proper and meet his only friend a man named Bear. He will now try to find who his father was at any cost even death.

This book made me look differently on the Renaissance, in a good way. It also made me wonder about everything in the book that the character did.

This is a great book and anybody who reads it will love it. I thought it was a great book and I read it twice and was interested and fascinated both times. I think that the author’s purpose was to tell us that life is easier with friends.  I would definitely recommend it to anybody whoe likes mysteries and the renaissance.
