WELCOME TO THE J. FRED SPARKE PTA WEBSITE The PTA here at Sparke hosts many events for the children of this school, such as Cultural Arts programs, the Family Halloween Party, Book Fairs in the Fall and Spring, Holiday Craft Night and a Vendor Sale before the holidays, just to mention a few. In order for these events to take place, we need not only your PTA membership dues but we also need volunteers to help plan them, as well as setting-up and running these events. Being a volunteer can be as easy as making phone calls or making copies during or after school hours. Whether your job is at home with the kids, or out of the house during the day or evening, many of our parents are still able to give some very much appreciated time to us when asked. Our major fundraiser is the Catalog Sale, which will be going home to you this week. We’ve barely even covered all that the PTA does for the children and families of Sparke school. We encourage all parents (that’s mothers and fathers) to become members of the PTA and join us at our monthly meetings. We now have babysitting during the meetings for those of you who are in need of this service. The PTA here at Sparke is also a part of the Nassau Region PTA which takes a role in advocating for children at the local, state and national levels. We are always available for questions or concerns that you may have…PTA related or not. We wish you and your children a great school year here at Sparke.
