First Grade Grading Scale

In first grade, we will be using the letters O, S+, S, S-, and U to grade papers. The following are the guidelines for each of the letters.

O: Outstanding! Your child has a good understanding of the skill or concept.

S+: Satisfactory Plus. Your child is still developing the skill or concept.

S: Satisfactory. Your child is still developing the skill or concept, but needs more practice.

S-: Satisfactory Minus. Your child needs more time to develop the skill or concept.

U: Unsatisfactory. Your child does not have a good understanding of the skill or concept, and needs more time to practice and time to develop.
