Daily Prayers to Learn

There will be many different prayers that first graders will learn and say together this year. If you get a chance, practice some of these at home and it will make learning so much easier!

First Grade Morning Prayer (said everyday):

God, my Father, I give you today

all that I think and do and say.

I'll study and work,

have fun and pray.

Jesus be with me

all through the day.

Amen

Mission Statement Prayer (said everyday during announcements):

Dear God,

I am growing in mind, heart, and spirit to become a leader in the world.

Today, help me to feel your presence as I use my mind to learn and to know you, my heart to show caring and to love you, and my spirit to grow faithfully and to serve you.

Let me be a good leader and a good follower today. I ask this in your name.

Amen

You can also practice the Sign of the Cross, the Our Father, and the Hail Mary!
