7th Grade English (LA) & History (SS)

This week we will be altering our customary LA/SS schedule.  Monday and Tuesday will be devoted to SS while Thursday through Friday will be devoted to LA.  In class on Thursday, we will work on history essays, which in essence combines SS & LA. 

LA

For Monday, November 23

Read Flannery O'Connor's "The Life You Save May Be Your Own" and do Discussion questions 1-4 and the Extension activity.  Both can be found on p. 139 in Question and Form. 

SS

For Friday, November 20

Write, type, and save the three body paragraphs of your Ancient Greece History Essay.  Print out a copy of these paragraphs (should be double-spaced in 12 point type) for submission on Friday.  This is not your final draft, but the paragraphs should be in good shape, featuring many historical examples and mechanically/grammatically sound prose.  Do not arrive to class tomorrow without a printed copy of your body paragraphs.
