7th Grade Advanced Math

Topics covered in 7th grade Advanced Math will give students the skills necessary for success in the Algebra 1 course they will take as 8th graders that will prepare them for Advanced Placement math classes at Owatonna High School. The following are the topics the 7th graders will work through this year: algebra principles, rational numbers, graphs, functions and sequences, exponents and roots, ratios, proportion and similarity, percents, geometry foundations, perimeter, area and volume, data and statistics, probability, multi-step equations and inequalities, graphing lines, and polynomials.

The 7th grade Advanced Math class will be using Holt Mathematics Course 3.

Holt has a helpful website where students can go for help with homework problems and for additional practice problems. It also has an online textbook so they can never use the excuse that they forgot their math book at home! Click here to get to the site: my.hrw.com
