Meet Mrs. Milligan

 I have been teaching for 6 years.  I taught 4th grade for two years in Bryan County.  My family and I moved to Senoia in 2006.  I taught 3rd grade for 4 years here at Poplar Road Elementary and last year I was named Poplar Road's Teacher of the Year.  I felt so honored to win this as we have so many amazing teachers here at Poplar Road.  This year I will be returning to 4th grade.  I am really looking forward to it!  I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Kutztown University in Pennsylvania.  Currently, I am working towards my Master's degree in Early Childhood Education at the University of West Georgia

 My husband's name is Jeremy.  We have two beautiful daughters, Emily and Delilah.  Emily will be starting PreK this year and Delilah is 2 years old.  We also have two dogs.  Savannah is a golden retriever and Jake is an English bulldog. 

I grew up all over the United States.  I was born in West Virginia.  I have lived in Indiana, Alabama, Mississippi, New York, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Georgia.  I even studied abroad in England and taught 4th and 5th graders there. 

I love to travel and learn about other cultures.  I have been to France, Belgium, the Netherlands, England, Italy, Canada, Jamaica, and most recently the Cayman Islands.  I look forward to visiting many other places in my lifetime.  I would love to visit Russia, Africa, Australia, and Germany.
