Extra-Credit assignment:  Complete a lesson plan & lesson on a topic / lesson for which you have had difficulty.  The lesson plan needs to include an objective, a plan of instruction, and at least two examples.  If specific properties, formulas, relationships, or processes are involved they must be adequately referenced, defined and/or explained.

    Any student wishing to complete an extra-credit assignment may do so by:

1 - Submitting a brief (one sentence is ok) proposal for approval & signature.

      Example:  "How to transform formulas & equations" - ref: Lesson 9-9

2 - Presenting the lesson to me as scheduled.  This presentation should last no longer than 10 minutes with an additional 5 minutes for questions.  The presentation must take place outside of normal class hours.  Students are responsible for coordinating a specific time.

3 - Submitting a hard copy of the written lesson plan complete with references and examples at the time of the presentation.  Additionally, the approved proposal must be returned with the hard copy submission.

NOTE:  If the hard copy submission is grossly inadequate, the presentation will be cancelled and no extra credit will be earned.

Students may complete two extra credit assignments per term. 

In order to be eligible for extra credit, all homework assignments for the term must be completed.

Extra Credit MUST be completed at least one week prior to end-of-term.
