This Classroom News Page will be used to give information on the topics that are being covered in each subject area. Math: Students have been reviewing important concepts with whole numbers and decimals. This has included place value, comparing, ordering, rounding, and number properties. We are beginning to focus on order of operations, an exploration of exponents, as well as writing and solving one and two step expressions and equations. Students will continue to work with these concepts as well as working with sets of data to calculate the rangde, mean, median, and mode. Science: Students are studying the Earth's biosphere. They have been examining classification systems scientists use to group living things. Students have been hard at work uncovering important characteristics of the six kingdoms (Archaebacteria, Eubacteria, Protists, Fungus, Plant, and Animal).
