Math Proficiency Information Study Hard!

Use the links at left to find a varity of ways to prepare yourself for the math portion of the NHSPE.  Below are some hints...

1. Any Nevada student can use the online tutorial, it's free and you just need to know your name and student number (no beginning zeros).  Our county is "Clark".
2. Quiz your self using the practice proficiency exams provided. Not enough?  Use the hundreds of math review problems attached, divided into the 4 main topics of the exam.  Focus on the area you feel you're weakest in.  Keys are provided.
3. Want a clue about what type of questions are on the test?  How many Geometry questions? How many problem solving questions?  What can you do the day of the test?  There is a powerpoint linked at right that can answer many of your questions. (This powerpoint refers to the test for Juniors and Seniors.  Sophomores will be taking a more challenging test in 2010.)
4. Proficiency Tutoring is available at local libraries.  Please see the flyer at left.
5. There are two released versions of the exam, one that is similar to the test Juniors and Seniors take and on similar to the one that Sophomores will take March 2010.
