Class Rules

In order for your child to benefit from his/her school experience, I believe it is important that the parents/guardians, as well as the students, learn the rules and expectations of the classroom.  This will ensure that all students have a rich, stable learning environment, with as few distractions as possible.  Please review these rules with your child, and reinforce their importance.  The rules are as follows:

            1.  Follow directions.

            2.  Raise your hand and wait to be called on.

            3.  Wait for directions with no talking.

            4.  Make transitions quickly and quietly.

            5.  Respect other persons and property.

The consequences for not following the rules are:

            1. Warning.

            2.  Lose a recess.

            3.  Lose more than one recess and a note / phone call home.

            4.  Loss of priveleges, phone call home, and possibly a referral to the principal.

Your child deserves the best education possible.  These classroom rules will ensure that the learning environment is  positive and all students are treated in a fair and consistent manner.
