Class Description & Objectives
The Religion curriculum emphasizes Worship, Bible Study, Verse Memorization, and applying the Bible as part of our daily life. Classroom activities and homework assignments can involve parent interaction as a supplement to our classroom lessons and activities. The class meets three days a week with once class being taught by the pastoral staff.
Unit Activities
- Opener engages students in the topic in fun and various ways.
- Action and Reflection recognizes students’ feelings and responses based on the lessons and situations students face in and outside of the classroom setting.
- Bible Application connects the topic with the Bible and demonstrates how the Bible is relevant to the situation they face. There will be various in-class projects and handouts assigned with each lesson.
- Commitment helps students internalize the Bible’s message and commit to make changes in their lives.
- Closing funnels the lesson’s message into a time of creative reflection and prayer.
Grading:
Individual grades will be determined by the total percentage earned from all assignments turned in. Please check Gradelink periodically for updated grades.
