Rebecca Kov's Art Classes Department Chair

Currently, I teach Painting, 3D Art, Advanced Art, Computer Graphics, Independent Studies in Art& Art Fundamentals. You will find class syllabi in the links that appear under "my home page" once you click the home page link to the left. Art Fundamentals is a beginning year long course whereas, Painting, 3D Art, and Advanced Art are taught in two sections.  Section 1 is taught first semester and section 2 is taught second. Advanced Art can be taken multiple times, as in chorus, with a multiple of mediums.  It is designed to provide students with serious study in a particular medium with emphasis on portfolio production.  Independent studies are awarded by instructor only when other studies are exhausted and Advanced Art is not an option due to the time offered.

The art classroom offers a place for students to have the opportunity to develop their skills and process thought in an atmosphere that focuses on creative studies. I believe that each student is an individual, with his/her own creative potential, perception, and particular path of development. The ability for people to create and appreciate art in all facets is innate; I strive to nurture these abilities, teach technique, and encourage the growth and development of creative thought and aesthetic values.
