American Literature is based on the experiences of American authors.  These experiences are normally forged by economic, social, political, religious, historical, and academic situations that touch the authors’ lives. 

 

This is a perfect blend of factors for students in United States History and American Literature to examine.  In other words, how are writers’ novels influenced by economic, social, political, religious, historical, and academic factors that the writer experienced? 

 

Select two or three American authors, read one of their novels, and discuss the economic, social, political, religious, historical, and academic economic, social, political, religious, historical, and academic factors that are reflected in their works.  Please use the following outline as a model for your paper.

Before you begin writing your paper, you must complete a bubble sheet, outline, and hand written rough draft. 

 

Each paper must have footnotes and a bibliography.
