Helpful Hints for helping your child to succeed: 1) Use the agenda as a tool for communication with teachers. 2) Check it daily to help your child make the decision to be successful. 3) Look over your child's binders with them. Help them with organization, if necessary. Discuss their grades. If it is a good grade, lavish the praise. If it is a failing or poor grade, talk about what they can do the next time to improve. Encourage them to talk to their teachers. They must learn to be self-advocates.
4) Show them that you are interested in their successes. 5) Arrange a space for them to complete homework and assignments. 6) Make sure they keep all their books/binders/backback in same place everyday so they can just grab it in the morning as they leave.
7) A good night's rest is imperative as well as a nuitrious breakfast. Our day starts early but they need to be well-rested in order to succeed. 8) Contact me and let me know if there is a problem with anything that might be impacting their ability to focus on school.
9) If there are any questions regarding their school work please let me know ASAP....
