Welcome to Mrs. Brown's sixth grade social studies.  On this site you will find current assignments and their due dates, as well as dates for upcoming tests and quizzes.  To view this information, please click on "ASSIGNMENTS" to the left of this screen.  Please encourage your child to keep up with his or her assignment spiral to help develop good organizational skills.

     In social studies students will keep information in folders.  Each time we start a new unit, we will create a new folder.  At the end of a unit, students will put their folders in a safe place so that at the end of the semester those materials will be easily accessible to prepare for exams.  In addition to the changing units students will also keep a geography folder.  Geography will be taught all year in the context of the other topics.

          World Religions

          Revolutions - (Includes Women's Rights, American Civil Rights Movement, and other Civil Rights movements around the world.)
