The Middle School History Program is an exploration of the Eastern Hempisphere in Grade 6, American History from the Native Americans to 1877 in Grade 7, and American History from 1877 to Present in Grade 8. In individual and small group activities such as class discussions, role playing, oral presentations and debates the students are expected to be able to understand and demonstrate their use of key historic concepts and terms and the five themes of Geography: location, place, human-environment interaction, movement, and region. Various types of assessments will be utilized to determine each student's performance including: homework assignments, independent work, written and oral classroom work and test. Our goal is to increase each student's general knowledge and to prepare them for high school.
