Sarah Hill loves the environment and philosophy at St. Francis Preschool. Sarah believes that St. Francis provides children and teachers the best possible opportunity to bring out their positive, individual qualities. The earliest years are critical in terms of development, and acknowledging young children as fully creative beings begins a process that leads to a satisfied, motivated, and healthy adulthood.
Sarah is grateful for the creative freedom at St. Francis and enjoys using a mix of art, music, children's literature, games, and projects to help stimulate fun and cooperative play, as well as imagination in the classroom. Sarah grew up on small farms in Illinois and Kentucky, developing early a love and appreciation for nature. After graduating with a degree in social work, Sarah has worked in other early childhood settings, in the culinary field, as a volunteer with children in the community, and spent an incredible year working and traveling in Europe.Sarah has continued studies in religion, women's studies, and early childhood education.Sarah loves living in the Highlands, walking in Cherokee Park, cooking, travel, and stays active in church through study and service.
