All About Me
All About Mrs. Peters I have been teaching for fourteen years! Can't believe how time flies! I have taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grades...my favorite is 8th! I graduated from Cedar Crest College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Elementary Education. I then went on to Wilkes University and received a Masters of Science degree in Educational Technology. I hold teaching certificates in Middle School Language Arts and Middle School Social Studies, as well as a Level II Elementary Teaching certificate. I continue to pursue credits in the area of education and plan to work towards a Doctorate. My teaching passions are American History and Language Arts. I love using technology, multimedia, differentiated instruction, and cooperative learning opportunities in my classroom. When I am not teaching, I am spending time with my four kids. They are Christian, Matthew, Abigail, and Nathan. I have a step-daughter named Ashley, too! Christian is a middle school student and is a die-hard soccer player. Matthew, is also in middle school in 6th grade, is a wrestler and soccer player. My daughter, Abigail, is a ballerina attending dancing school and is a cheerleader for her brothers' wrestling team. She also plays field hockey! Nathan is my youngest and will be going to second grade this year! He also plays soccer like his big brothers, Chris and Matt! Since we live in the District you may bump in our family! Don't be shy to say "hi"! When the family isn't busy with sports, we love to read, play outside, swim, travel, and watch movies together!
