Chapter 10 -Curriculum, Standards, & Assessment
THE SPOTLIGHT: "What Role Will Standards Play in Your Classroom? What is Standards-Based Education? What Controversies Surround the Efforts to Raise Standards? What Methods Can You Use to Assess Student Learning? and How Can You Develop High-Quality Classroom Assessment?"

During the first 5 minutes of EACH class, have a quick team meeting to create a "daily task sheet". As a team, list what tasks have been accomplished and list what tasks EACH group member agrees to complete. This sheet will be used to help assist with grading.

HINT: first refer to your challenge to see which tasks need to be completed. You can even use a printed copy of the challenge as your "To Do List".

FEATURE PRESENTATION: Working in teams, create notes that address each of the chapter outline questions. Remember to put information in one's own words and use real-life examples as illustrations of material being discussed.
