Seventh Grade Poetry poems by Mrs. Sparks' 7th hour class | Spring Spring has come at last, Green fields so wide and vast, The flowers so colorful and sweet, Feel so cool under my feet, The sound of life all around, Even the worms underground, Even though spring will end, It will come, come again. by Autumn | Clouds Poofy, white, and up so high They float like cotton in the sky Clouds often vary in size and shape A doll, a plane, or even an ape When there’s a storm, it’s quite the show Cumulonimbus bring rain, hail, and snow So if you’re on a picnic one day Look up and make sure the sky isn’t gray -Anonymous | | Spring Fever After winter starts to end, And spring comes along once again We all start to get a little heartfelt When all the snow starts to melt For we all put away are heavy winter jackets And my friends start to get their braces and brackets When we walk outside, we see the flowers bloom Then I have to go spring-clean my bedroom Finally, I get to go shop And wear my new pair of flip-flops I go to my friends to go canoeing Pretty soon its Swedish fish I’m chewing So I’m delighted when spring comes along Cause I love to hear a bird’s sweet song From the buzz of the bees To the swoosh of the trees I really am delighted when winter starts to end And spring comes along again! By Taylor | A Day’s Catch Green summer trees Blowing in a warm, summer’s breeze Sweet peas try to grow Before they are ate by a doe While I sit in this boat Trying not to listen to my cousin gloat I think of one thing A feeling And urge To catch more So I’ll be adored But as soon as I see you He is already near Trying to get you Before I do You are too quick For you hide under a stick Waiting, watching For only I can see you Faster than a blink of an eye I have caught you in record time Surprised and shocked, he can only stare For this day ends on a good note By Alexis | | I started to reel in It felt like a two ton bin My line started to swerve As my pole tried to curve The sturgeon was about my height It could’ve ate me in one bite -Anonymous | Falling As I slowly open the door, I take a step and there’s no floor, Falling down into a black pit, Knowing soon the ground I will hit, A chilling scream escapes my mouth, As I quickly fall south, Just when I was suppose to hit, Up in my bed I sit. -Anonymous | | My Bro I hope my bro decides to stop smoke’n When he is around people start choke’n Besides the smell he’s a funny fellow. However his teeth are turning yellow. Some people call him Jello. 95% of the time his mood is mellow. So we talked to Jello the mellow fellow. And now people aren’t choke’n around this smoke’n oke’n. By Drew | Rainforest The mist roles into the rain forest silently. It looks over the many animals. It walks on, As if it has other animals to oversee. -Anonymous | | When You’re in Love When you’re in love, It feels like the sun is coming out, From a rainy day, You see the brightness of the sun, Like the brightness of her eyes, It warms your soul, Like when you look into her beautiful blue eyes, When the rainbow comes, Oh when it comes, You feel enlightened by the warmness of her heart, But when the sun sets, You know she left you, Because you have lost your way, And it feels like another rainy day. -Anonymous | The Truth is Ugly When I look at your face I shake with fear You’re so ugly You make me tear I want to run away And jump off a pier Oh wait a minute I’m looking in the mirror -Anonymous | | It’s the place where you’ll want to go Welcome to Peshtigo Welcome to the place where you see nature’s true beauty Welcome to the place where the dew covers the grass and glistens in the morning Welcome to the place where beautiful flowers bloom in the spring Welcome to the place where in the fall it is full of color Welcome to the place where you know everyone It’s the place where you’ll want to go Welcome to Peshtigo | Baseball How I love baseball, The smell of dirt and grass. The field of great dreams. -Zac | | Cherish the moment live for today, you never know what tomorrow will bring It could be your last day, so take chances and live, laugh, love Say something so you can be heard, don’t go on not saying nothing or you’ll never be heard. Take chances make mistakes, learn from your mistakes, it doesn’t matter what people think of you Were all special in our own way, so let that shine through Don’t regret something, because in the long run you’ll look back and be glad you did it But in the end it doesn’t matter how many breaths you took but the moments that took your breath away You’ll never know what you have until its gone So we have to live like were dying By Mackenzie |
