Resources for Educators

Welcome to Paula's Place for Educators

The goal of this site is to provide teachers with resources including how-to's, educational web sites and information that will help them in (and out of) the classroom. My focus is infusing curriculum with technology to motivate your students and provide them with experiences that will prepare them to be informed decision makers.

A little about me: I have been a Professional Developer for more than twenty years, the last thirteen at Nassau BOCES. Previously I was a special education teacher. I have my Masters in Special Education and a Professional Diploma in Education Administration.

I started working with technology in the classroom when I was the Electronic Partners Coordinator for NYCENET (New York City Educational Network). Students and teachers in New York City worked with classes around the country and the world. Together we created telecommunications projects to support classroom learning.

Since then I’ve enjoyed working with K – 12 teachers, helping them infuse technology into their lessons and activities. Using multi-media to actively engage their students, they enhance and enrich their curriculum, support the new NYSED Common Core standards and arm their students with the 21st century skills they will need to succeed in life.

Let's get started! Click here to link to some helpful How To's.
