Test Tuesday - November 24 The Seventh Graders are currently studying Genetics: The Science of Heredity. The will be discussing Mendel's work, the probability and heredity connection, the cell and inheritance, and the DNA connection. For their chapter project they will be creating a "paper pet". They will be choosing traits for their pets from this list: square eyes or round eyes; oval nose or triangular nose; pointed teeth or square teeth. Then they will create their own pet by using the materials of their choice. They will also cross their "paper pets" with their lab partner to explore how traits pass from parents to offspring.

This is a wonderful online component, which allows the students to interactively delve deeper into the content material. All of the students have received the on line component to their science text books. Please install this information onto your home computer. It encompasses an abundance of activity options.
