Children are expected to complete nightly homework, in a thorough, neat fashion, and return this promptly in the daily folder the next morning. Each Monday, children will be given a spelling pre-test. Each Monday evening, homework will include rewriting any misspelled words, and parent signature on the work. Children are expected to review the weekly words each night, along with a 10-15 minute homework assignment. From time to time, children will be asked to bring home a Literacy journal, and write their thoughts on a specific topic. This should be returned Monday morning. Often, in preparation for a test, children will bring home a study sheet, and this will require a parent signature as well. It is extremely important that homework is done consistently, and will be taken into account when evaluations are made for report cards.
