My name is Nancy Wilson. I am an experienced New York State certified elementary teacher, with a Master's Degree in Education. I have worked in the Diocese for 20 years as a fulltime teacher. I have also worked in the Brighton and Gates Chili Central School Districts for many years as an active substitute, prior to my arrival at Christ the King.
I am a wife and mother of four children. As both a teacher and a parent, I have always been a strong advocate of Catholic education, having sent my children through Catholic schools, and am continuing to do so. It has been very rewarding to see the Christian values and strong sense of community in action daily within the Catholic schools in which my children have attended, and within the schools I have been blessed to teach: St. Andrew, St. Helen, and Christ the King.
I am excited to be teaching first graders, who have a wonderful enthusiasm and love for learning. I have many terrific, fun-filled activities in store for my new class this year! First grade is an extremely significant year, where children make tremendous growth academically and socially. Watching their self-esteem and confidence build throughout the year is very rewarding.
I am blessed to have a full time aide. The aide assists me with various tasks during the day so I can spend more time helping the students. I am very grateful for the extra help!
I look forward to working in partnership with you to ensure a successful year for your child! Maintaining good communication with parents is one of my top priorities. It is only through working together that we can maximize student success. Please contact me with any questions or concerns via email or by calling the school and leaving a message at the main office.
Sincerely,
Nancy Wilson
