February 2010 Math: We will be learning long division...keep practicing those facts!! ELA: We will be finishing There's a Boy in the Girl's Bathroom, as well as reviewing for the NYS ELA test and writing a how-to piece. (TBGB on the homework calendar!!) Science: Simple Machines Social Studies: Explorers and Colonial NY Reminders! NYS ELA Test: Monday April 26th, 2010 NYS Math Test: Wednesday May 5, 2010 NYS Science Test: Written: Monday June 7, 2010 Performance: Monday May 24, 2010 I am happy to be back at St. Pius X School! St. Pius X has a very supportive community, great families, and brilliant students. I am thrilled to be a part of this wonderful school! I am looking forward to an exciting and educational year! We will be studying many interesting topics, including the Native Americans, New York State, weather, electricity, magnetism, and reading many great books! This year there will be a strong focus on developing our critical thinking and problem solving skills!
