All you need to know about Ammons Media Center

The Media Center is available for students to check out books, search the Internet, work on projects using the computers, print, study, and browse shelves or periodicals. The Media Center is a quiet place for students to come and work in a comfortable environment. It should be a place where students work productively and without distraction. 

The Media Center is open for students every school day for a class visit (with teacher), small class groups (up to eight student’s per class) and individual visits. For individual and small group visits during the school day, you must have a pass from your teacher. During your visit you may check out books, do research or work on a project.


Printing Policies: 

Students have access to a black and white laser printer and a color laser printer for school assignments.  There is a cost for printing. This cost will go up for the 2017-2018 school year. Students should always have change set aside for printing. The MC does not lend change for printing.

$.10 for black/white printing

$.15 - $.25 for color printing

(price depends on the amount of ink)


Circulation Policies:       

A maximum of 2 books can be checked out for 2 weeks. Books may be renewed unless another student has the book on hold.

Late books will be charged .05 a day. Late charges do not accrue on weekends or holidays or days the media center is closed.

Reference books can be checked out overnight.

Late reference books will be charged .25 a day.

Students with overdue books or fines over $2.00 will not be allowed to check out any materials until the fine is paid.
