Welcome to Mrs. Bunk's Website for 3-8 at St. Pius School! I can't believe it's September already! I hope that all of you had a wonderful summer. It wasn't long enough, was it? I can't wait to hear what you have been doing, musically and otherwise, over the last few months. We have a new mascot for our new Music Room. His name is Finbar and he is a 1 year old Labradoodle who came to live with the Bunk Family last year. He loves to lie on his back under my piano and listen to music. I think he likes Bach best! For those of you who do not yet know, the Music Room has been moved to the old Pre-K Playroom next to the Nurse's Office. Even though it is a much smaller classroom than we had before, we will all do our best to make it work for us; let's try to think of it as "cozy" instead of "tiny." Our four school Choirs will retain their current schedule: Choir 6-8 will meet after school on Wednesdays (go to the gym and wait for me to pick you up!) starting on the 17th. Choir 5 meets first period on Day 6; Choir 4 meets at 2:10 on Day 3; Choir 3 meets at 12:50 on Day 4. We have a lot of very exciting new music to learn, as well as planning for our field trips to area nursing homes beginning in October. Our three Drama Clubs will also meet at the same times, but in a different classroom, since we really don't have space in the new music room. Drama 6-8 will meet on Mondays at 3 pm, beginning on September 22nd. As usual, I will pick you up at the gym. Drama 5 meets at recess on Days 3 and 5; Drama 4 meets at recess on Days 2 and 4. I will have to let you know which classrooms we'll be using when our scheduling is done, but we plan to begin Drama during our second rotation.
