Welcome back sophomores!

You made it through your freshmen year.  There are several important things that sophomores should do this year:

(1) Work hard in your classes.  Boost your GPA.  Make sure you are in good academic standing with your classes.
(2)  Begin career exploration.  Ask friends, neighbors, and family members about their jobs.  Volunteer somewhere where you could see yourself working in the future---it's a great way to meet new people, network,a nd explore careers. 
(3) Take the PSATs in October.  Everyone should take their PSATs for practice to see how much preparation you will require to reach your desired SAT scores (next year).
(4)  Apply for special programs (HOBY, Tomorrow's Leaders Today, Arts Alive, summer academic camps, etc.)
(5) Get involved!  Join something.  Make sure you develop your academic transcript and a co-curricular transcript.
