Music News
5th Band The fifth grade band will be playing "The Christmas Season" which is an arrangement of "O Come Little Children" and "Good King Wenceslas, "The Little Drummer Boy", and "The Centurion" for the Christmas Concert on December 3. 6th Band The 6th Grade Band will be playing " Hark! the Herlad Trumpets Swing", "Santa Claus is Coming to Town", and "Christmas Montage" which includes "Unkrainian Bell Carol", "O Come All Ye Fatihful", "We Wish You a Merry Christmas"and "Away in the Manger". Students will also be research the songs, composers and arrangers of the pieces to create artwork, program notes, and an introduction for the concert on December 10. Students will also work on music theory in Music Appreciation on Fridays. 7th/8th Band Students also be researching their Christmas Music as well as working on music theory. They will be performing "The Wexford Carol", "White Christmas", "Sleigh Ride", and "Hey, Man Christmas Swings" which includes swing versions of " Up on the House Top", "Angels We Have Heard on High", "Silent Night", "Halleluiah Chorus", and "When the Saints Go Marching In'".
