Research Help Our students are exposed to a world of information and resources that is varied and rich in both format and content. It is our goal to provide them with the knowledge, skills, abilities, and creativity to gather, organize, synthesize, and evaluate this information so that they will be able to live satisfying lives in our increasingly global society. RESEARCHERS: 1. Explore as many print resources as we have available in our library FIRST. Consult the indexes to encyclopedias, almanacs, and specialized reference works. Look in nonfiction books. Click here to search the OPAC now. Click here to access Grolier Online encyclopedias now. Click here to access the Merriam-Webster Visual Dictionary Online now. 2. After print resources have been consulted, explore the electronic databases available to you through the NWLSD Electronic Resources page. 3. The INTERNET is recommended only when other resources have been fully explored. Click HERE to access a variety of SEARCH ENGINES. 4. Whatever source of information is selected, you must properly CITE each source by using the correct bibliographic format.
