Classroom Instruction:

Students will spend a total of 9 weeks in Health Education and 9 weeks in Physical Education. While in PE each student will have a locker and be required to dress out each day. Please read over the dress out policy and email Mrs. Plummer with any questions you may have. The Health classroom will be located in room 128.  

Topics covered in Health Education will follow the curriculum outlined by the state and will included units in: nutrition, stress management, drug prevention, and family life education (non-comprehensive). www.ncpublicschools.org/curriculum/healthfulliving/

 1. Binder (this only has to be a cardboard folder with brads to keep papers secure).  

Mrs. Plummer:

Marie W. Plummer graduated from ASU in 2004 with a Health and English Education degree. She received her Masters in Health Education from ECU in 06.  While at ASU Plummer was a member of the softball team. She currently coaches both the men's and women's swim team at West Stokes.

Jupiter Grades:

Parents may view student's grades online at jupitergrades.net .  Students will be bringing home parent and student passwords at the beginning of the nine weeks. 

Sex Eduction Permission Slip (RTF 16 KB)
Students may choose to take part in family life education, or may opt out and complete a communicable disease project instead. This form must be returned even if the parent chooses to opt their student out.
