Content Filters:  Don't surf the Internet without one!

Parents, keeping your kids safe online is a 24/7 job!  It is impossible for us as parents to watch our kids every minute they are on the Internet.  And we know that it is not our kids that are the problem, it is the unsolicited pop-ups, banners and other advertising that are showing our kids inappropriate content.  That is why EVERY house that has a computer should have an Internet Content Filter.  Content filters "filter" out the inappropriate pictures, text, etc. and keep our kids from being exposed to that type of stuff.  Obviously you can't rely on the filter ALONE, nothing beats your own 2 eyes watching to keep them safe!

Music Piracy:  Teach your kids the LEGAL way to download music!

As parents, we teach our kids not to steal.  Our kids would never consider walking into a store, putting a cd in their coat pocket and walking out without paying for it.  However, those same kids who wouldn't dream of doing that, so steal, on a regular basis, music by downloading it without paying for it, from the Internet and by burning countless copies of music cd's for their friends.

The Recording Industry Association of America is stepping up its efforts to catch those who download music illegally and it is critical that our children understand what they can legally do with their cd's and where they can legally get music on the Internet.  The websites below should help clear up the confusion!
