How to Use a Template

1) Click on the "design" tab

2) Click on the design you like OR click on the small down arrow in the lower right hand corner of the box to bring up other options or the choice to go to the Internet and download a one of your choice.

How to Insert a Photo/Image

1)     1)  Save it from the Internet (remember to cite the source for your Works Cited)

a.       Save it to your desktop or your files with a name you'll remember

2)      2) Click on the small picture in the middle of the page that says "Insert picture from File"

3)      3) Click on the picture you want from the desktop or your files

4)      4) Resize it if necessary and cite it!

How to Create Hyperlinks
To the Web
1) Type up your slide    
 
2) 

Find your website and copy the web address. To do this, highlight the entire web address and right click on it, and hit copy.

3) Go back to PowerPoint and highlight the word or words you want to link and right click.  This box 

should pop up – click on “Hyperlink”
4) When the box pops up, paste the address in the address box and hit "OK"

Within your Presentation
1) Follow steps 1 - 4 but when you get to the Hyperlink box, click on "Place in this Document" on the left hand side.

2) When the next box pops up, select a slide within your presentation that you'd like to be connected to and click "ok"

How to Insert Music

1) Click on the movie wheel in the center of the slide.
2) Find the song file and click on it and click "ok"
