The Seventh Grade will finish chapter six this week and take the second part of the test for chapter 6 next Tuesday. (November 10th) The Eighth Grade will finish "Genetics: The Science of Heredity" this week. They have a project that is due this Friday November 6th. They will take the test over chapter 4, November10th. A sign -up sheet will be put in the home rooms of each 8th grade class this week for the students to sign up for the Thanksgiving feast that we will have the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. 8th Grade Retreat is coming up next week Thursday......(November 12th).... make sure you ask your kids for the letters that were sent home this past Friday. On November 13th, the kids will be spending the day at either Bishop Brute (the boys) or The Benedictine Center (the girls). Look for the permission slips to come home this week. All students interested in science fair will be getting information concerning this project, this week. A letter will explain how this is done in 7th and 8th grade and I will post on my web page the criteria that I use to grade the projects that the kids do. A rubric as well a list of directions that must be followed in order to pass will also be posted and will remain there until after the science fair is over.
