Give them reason to cheer

Millard PTA is a non-profit organization which provides funding for many student activities, including field trips, assemblies, classroom supplies, library books and other important student programs.

PTA also contributes to campus improvements such as the addition of the shade structure over the lunch tables and the purchase of Disaster Preparedness supplies.

PTA is not the only fundraiser on campus, Millard classroom and prep teachers may also run fundraiser for programs not funded by PTA.

The PTA uses three types of fundraisers; active, passive and service based.

Active fundraising accounts for about 60% of our operating funds. This includes the 100% Tax deductible, Catalog, School Night Out and Silent Auction Fund Raisers. Active fundraisers are designed for "big return on the dollar" donations run once a year.

The passive fundraisers involves signing up for ongoing programs or brining in donatible items such as collecting GM Box Tops and Campbell's Labels, Recycling Plastic Shopping Bags, Purchasing Scrip Gift Cards, or Registering your Safeway Club card with eScrip.

The service based fundraisers involve charging for services in order to cover the costs of offering these programs/services such as the Pumpkin Patch, Halloween Carnival, Holiday Store, Millard Apparel and School Year Book.
