Give them reason to cheer

Millard PTA is a non-profit organization which provides funding for many student activities, including field trips, assemblies, classroom supplies, library books and other important student programs.

PTA also contributes to campus improvements such as the addition of the shade structure over the lunch tables and the purchase of Disaster Preparedness supplies.

PTA is not the only fundraiser on campus, Millard classroom and prep teachers may also run fundraiser for programs not funded by PTA.

The PTA uses three types of fundraisers; active, passive and service based.

Active fundraising accounts for about 60% of our operating funds. Active fundraisers are designed for "big return on the dollar" donations. This includes the 100% Tax deductible Donation Drive, Monthly School Night Out events, Jump Into Spring activity and the annual Silent Auction fund raisers. (We have opted to not have a "catalog" selling fundraiser in the Fall... rather an activity based sponsorship to get our kids moving each Spring)

The passive fundraisers involves signing up for ongoing programs or bringing in collectable items such as GM Box Tops and Campbell's Labels, as well as purchasing Gift Cards through our Scrip program, or registering your Safeway Club card with eScrip. SHARES cards for Lucky's/Food Maxx/Save Mart and Jamba Juice keychain cards are also available in the school office. Plus Target donates when you register your Target card to give to our school.

The service based fundraisers involve charging for services in order to cover the costs of offering these programs/services. Examples are the Pumpkin Patch, Halloween Carnival, Craft Night, Millard Apparel and School Yearbook.
