I would like to welcome everyone back - hopefully you all had a safe and healthy summer vacation! As the School Nurse here, it is always so exciting to see the children and their families again - I enjoy seeing the changes as they grow, and hearing about the fun things they did while away from school. So far this year, I have been focusing on meeting all the children new to our school, and touching base with them. Please, if you or your child have any concerns do not hesitate to call me, or email me - I am always available. Dates to remember - October 27th, 2010 - our FLU CLINIC will be scheduled from 8am until 12 noon. You will be getting more information as it is provided to me. Our clinic will be in the Library as it was last year. My hope is to provide the entire school community with the flu vaccine, but this will be dependent upon supply issued to us. Please keep checking this site for updates. My role here at Immaculate Conception Catholic Regional is comprised of the following: daily first aid and medication administration, health screenings with the City of Cranston (including hearing, vision, scoliosis, and dental), Safe Environment training for volunteers and for the faculty and staff, In-Service for the faculty and staff, just to name a few! The majority of my day, however, is spent with your children - if you have anything you feel I need to know, just call me. I feel it is a privilege to be able to safeguard the well-being of your children, and I look forward to it each and every day. It is never dull in the Health Office! Please feel free to stop in anytime. I look forward to meeting you all!
