Course Description

At Sequoia we believe that Physical Education is an integral part of education. Our program will provide each student the opportunity to participate in quality physical education. Our curriculum follows the California State Content Standards and is designed to develop and improve each child's health-related fitness, competence in movement activities, and cognitive understanding about physical activity and health. Our goal is to provide the knowledge and tools necessary for all students to develop the desire to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle for a lifetime.
Sequoia Physical Education Curriculum:
6th Grade: Emphasis is on working cooperatively to achieve a common goal, building foundations for physical, social, and mental, health.
