WELCOME TO THE 2009-2010 SCHOOL YEAR!
We have a fun new year ahead of us! First quarter we will have a student teacher working in our classroom. Her name is Lisa Valentine. She has extensive experience having taught 2nd grade, 5th grade, English Language Learners and subbing at all grades. She is working on becoming licensed in special education. Welcome Lisa!

We are very fortunate to have a new computer resource for our students. It is called "Compass Learning". This program uses the students' MAP scores to assign them games and tutorials that work on the skills that they scored low on. This program can be used with any computer that has internet access. The username is the student's first and last name typed as one word. The password is the same as their lunch code. Make sure "Unity" is listed as the school. There is also a link at the bottom of the page for this site. If you encounter any problems using this program, please let me know and I will try to help you solve them. The students in my room have used it here, so will probably be able to quickly get themselves logged in to the site.

Below are links to some of the online game sites the students enjoy. The 2 that say "Map test" after them contain games that correlate to the skills that are covered on the MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) test that is administered 3 times during the school year. These games will help your student(s) improve their skills and increase their MAP test scores.
