BAYLEY AND BAYLEY ADULT DAY

First graders will visit Bayley (formerly Bayley Place) and Bayley Adult Day (formerly Eldermount). Both facilities are across from Mount St. Joseph’s College. Mrs. Whitaker’s class will visit Bayley and Mrs. Brown’s class will visit Bayley Adult Day.

Our first grade classes have been participating in this activity for several yeas. We have found this to be a wonderful way to teach the children how to live their faith as Jesus did. It is a very rewarding experience for both the children and the elderly.

We visit about once a month. We have listed the dates below.  We travel to Bayley and Bayley Adult Day on an Oak Hills bus. Parents are invited to join us. In fact, your help would be greatly appreciated.  It is always nice to have extra hands to help out with the activities. Siblings are also welcome as long as they stay with you.  The older people love to see children of all ages.

Two times during the school year Bayley residents and clients from Bayley Adult Day will visit OLV.  They attend our Christmas Program and in May they will visit our classrooms for an art activity.

Here are the dates and activities for Bayley and Bayley Adult Day. Our visits are scheduled for Thursdays 1:00 – 1:45 p.m.  We will remind you of the dates in our newsletters.

September 29 – Fall Activity

October 13 – Spooky Bingo

November 10 – Memory Basket Activity

January 19 – Make Valentine bags

February 9 – Valentine Bingo

March 22 – Mother Goose Activity

*April 19 – Lunch with the residents at Bayley and clients at Bayley Adult Day (11:30 – 12:30)
